Enfield Fire District 1 reports that the renovation project for Station 2 will be looking to go to referendum soon.
First and foremost, the district would like to inform the community that they can accomplish renovation goals without any changes to the current mill rate.
The Station 2 renovation project has been talked about for several years and is nearing reality with the support of the community. The district has been looking at changes to the station to better accommodate their members, the public and local organizations including handicap restrooms, sleeping quarters, larger training/meeting hall and an updated kitchen.
