Enfield Fire District No. 1 is pleased to announce that three members of the EFD Cadet Program advanced to the next Response Level.

On Monday, March 1, EFD Cadet Program members Cameron Paliy, Kaylene Ellis and Chase Tyburski advanced to the next Response Level after they met the department’s training requirements. Within the next Response Level, Paliy, Ellis and Tyburski will be able to perform more functions at drills and on the scene of an active fire. They also transitioned to a more traditional style fire helmet.

The Enfield Fire Department offers a Junior Firefighting “Cadet” Program.  This program is offered to individuals who have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a resident of Enfield
  • Must be between 14 and 17 years of age
  • Must be a student attending either Junior High or High School
  • Must pass an application/interview process
  • Must successfully complete a medical physical and drug screening
