Enfield Fire District No. 1 would like to remind community members of its upcoming 9/11 20th Anniversary Remembrance Event. The event marks 20 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
As part of Enfield Fire District No. 1’s 20th Anniversary Remembrance Event, a short parade and ceremony will be held at the 9/11 Memorial Tribute Garden on Saturday, Sept. 11 beginning at 9 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine.
The parade will begin at Porter and Chester at approximately 9:15 a.m. and will end at Enfield Fire District Station #2. A ceremony will follow at Enfield Fire Department Station #2, 199 Weymouth Road, Enfield, CT. Refreshments will be served at the fire station after the ceremony.
Attendees should park at the Enfield Fire District Station #2. Marchers and those participating in the parade will take a shuttle from Station #2 to Porter and Chester.
