The legal voters and those entitled to vote in the Enfield Fire District No. 1 are hereby warned and notified that a Referendum Vote of the District has been scheduled for Thursday, March 24, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the District’s Headquarters Fire Station located at 200 Phoenix Avenue to see what action, if any, the District’s voters will take toward the purchase of one quintuple combination pumper apparatus not to exceed $1,200,000.00 to replace the current 1996 and 2005 quintuple combination pumpers and to approve the transfer of funds from the District’s general fund for down payment. The referendum question shall be as follows:

“Shall the Enfield Fire District No. 1 Fire Commission President and/or Treasurer, acting on behalf of the Fire District, be authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of a new quintuple combination pumper apparatus for not more than $1,200,000.00 and shall up to $500,000.00 be transferred from the District’s general fund for down payment, with the remainder funded through a Lease Purchase.
