The legal voters and those entitled to vote in the Enfield Fire District No. 1 are hereby warned and notified that a Referendum Vote (in person) of the District has been scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the District’s Headquarters Fire Station located at 200 Phoenix Avenue to see what action, if any, the District’s voters will take toward the purchase of one pumper apparatus not to exceed $1,300,000.00 to replace the current 2007 pumper and to approve the transfer of funds from the District’s general fund for down payment. The referendum question shall be as follows:
Shall the Enfield Fire District No. 1 Fire Commission President and/or Treasurer, acting on behalf of the Fire District, be authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of a new pumper apparatus for not more than $1,300,000.00 and up to $750,000.00 be transferred from the District’s general fund for down payment, with the remainder funded through a Lease Purchase.
