Pat Droney has been involved in emergency services for most of his adult life, starting at age 20 when he joined the North Thompsonville Fire Dept. Pat joined the Enfield Police Department in 1980 at age 22 and rising to the rank of lieutenant and was the fourth ranked officer in the department upon his retirement in 2008. Pat went on to serve as Director of Campus Safety at Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, then returned to law enforcement as Chief of Police in Ashfield, MA for three years. Pat currently works for Southwest Airlines as Cargo Customer Service Supervisor. Longing for a return to emergency services, Pat was elected to fill a vacancy on the Enfield Fire Commission in 2019 and was elected to a three-year term in 2021. He served from 2021-2022 as President of the commission and as Vice President for 2022-2023. Pat has been married to his wife Rozanne since 1990 and has four children--Shawn, Kristi, Lindsay and Taylor, and is grandfather to five--Kayleigh, Patrick, RaeLynn Levi, and Carter. He is also a licensed private pilot.
