Pat Droney has been involved in emergency services for most of his adult life, starting at age 20 when he joined the North Thompsonville Fire Dept. Pat joined the Enfield Police Department in 1980 at age 22 and rose to the rank of lieutenant and was the fourth ranked officer in the department upon his retirement in 2008.
He went on to serve as Director of Campus Safety at Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, then returned to law enforcement as Chief of Police in Ashfield, MA for three years, then as Director of Loss Prevention at Brooks Brothers in Enfield. He currently works for Southwest Airlines at Bradley International as Cargo Customer Service Supervisor.
Longing for a return to emergency services, Pat was selected to fill a vacancy on the Enfield Fire Commission in 2019 and is in his second full three-year term. He served from 2021-2022 as President of the commission and currently serves as Vice President.
Pat has been married to his wife Rozanne since 1990 and has four children--Shawn, Kristi, Lindsay and Taylor, and is grandfather to six--Kayleigh, Patrick, RaeLynn, Levi, Carter and Jameson. He is also a licensed private pilot.
