About the Board of Fire Commissioner

Gary Castle is a life-long member of the Enfield Fire district and still resides in our district with his family. Gary has been an officer at the Enfield Police Dept. for 35 years, he is currently assigned to the Detective division where his assignments include Fire and Arson investigation, examination of evidence and conducting polygraph exams. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Western CT State University in 1988 and completed his Master of Science degree in Forensic Science in 2010 from the University of New Haven. Gary joined the Enfield Fire Commission in 2021 with a purpose to assist the staff and community and to further the goals and objectives of the Fire Dept. He believes his experiences with the Police, Fire, and EMS services will help the commission and the staff achieve progress in the Enfield Fire Dept.
