Enfield Fire District 1 Offers Grilling Safety Tips
With the weather warming up and cookouts increasing, June is an opportunity for residents to remember the importance of grilling safety. The National Fire Protection Association reported that, between 2019 and 2023, gas grills were involved in an average of 9,287 home fires per year, including 4,682 structure fires, and 4,605 outdoor fires.

Enfield Fire District 1 responded to a crash on Bass Drive on Thursday, May 8. (Photo Courtesy Enfield Fire District 1) On Thursday, May 8, shortly after 7 p.m., Enfield Fire District 1 responded to Bass Drive for a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. One driver was treated for minor injuries by Enfield EMS.
